A full RPG maker in your browser.
Then play it online with friends.
Paint maps, write quests, fill your world with NPCs, items and shops, and test it all without leaving your browser. Nothing to install. When it's ready, your friends join from a link.
- 20editors
- 22plugins
- Onlinemultiplayer built in
- 0things to install
A whole studio in one tab.
Every part of your game has its own editor, and they all save to the same project.
- Map editor
- Paint with layers, auto-tiles and animated tiles. Build tiles in the tile composer, place NPC spawns, mark regions and triggers.
- Events & scripts
- Dialogue, quests and events, written as short scripts or edited as blocks. Errors show as you type, and saving reloads a running game.
- Items, NPCs & shops
- Everything that lives in your world: gear and loot, monsters and villagers, and the shops that trade with players.
- Sprites & effects
- Sprite sets, animations, overlays, effects and emotes, so your world moves the way you picture it.
- Data & config
- System settings, types and game terms, world state, a GM account tool, and a project check that finds broken links between maps.
- Plugin editors
- Plugins bring their own editors into the same menu, like quests, resources and spells.
Map editor: click to place, and the map updates as you paint.
Events & scripts: type a line, save, and it shows up as a block. Edit whichever you like.

Who makes Lune
[System]Welcome to Lune.
[Tyler]hey. it's just me building this, one dev from the old private-server scene.
[Tyler]i wanted RPG Maker-style tools that run in a browser tab. so i built them.
[Tyler]paint a map, write the quest, hit save. no installer, no project folder to lose.
[Guest]will my first game be good?
[Tyler]probably not. will your friends log in anyway? yes.
[System]The real chat is on Discord. Join the Lune Discord >
Every system is a plugin.
Combat, spells, guilds and the rest are plugins. Switch on what your game needs in the Plugin Manager, tune each one's settings, or write your own.
Tick Quests, save, and its Quest Editor joins the Editors menu.

Pack what your game needs. Leave the rest in the bag.
And for your players
They click a link. They're in.
Your game runs in the browser, so nobody downloads a client. Players make an account, pick one of their characters and play together on your server, with keyboard, gamepad or touch.

Inventory, equipment, spells, quests, bank, friends and mail are all one keypress away. And because we host it, your world stays up when your PC is off.
Made games on Mirage, Eclipse, Intersect or RPG Maker? Patch notes:
- Removed: renting a server and opening ports
- Removed: your game dying when your PC turns off
